Outside
Villa Loukia has many different outdoor areas - perfect for different times of the day or mood. A large, bow fronted terrace runs along the front of the house, both upstairs and down. The bow front downstairs leads from the kitchen and is perfect for catching the sunrise and for a leisurely breakfast. A feature, hand painted, round table sits in the bow. The table was created by a Sicilian artist in Caltegirone, using a piece of Mount Etna lava. The upstairs bow terrace has a bench and coffee table the perfect place to sit as the sun goes down.
The downstairs terrace leads through a gate to the swimming pool terrace. The pool is 10m x 5m with a depth of .8 metres to 1.8metres. There are corner steps into the pool. The pool is decorated with hand painted Sicilian tiles around the top of the water. Around the pool are 6 sunbeds, umbrellas and extra chairs. Afternoon shade is also provided by two large olive trees.
Another gate leads from this terrace down some steps to another large outside dining area with feature stone built bbq. This walled area is the most pleasant place to sit and eat at night after the heat of the day. The large teak table sits 12 people with ease.
